About Dr. N. Muthu Chidambaram :
Dr. Muthu Chidambaram N, Consultant Pediatric Intensivist at Rio Super Specialty Children’s Hospital, did his Under graduation, M.B.B.S. (2005 – 2011) from Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli and Post-graduation, MD Paediatrics (2012 – 2015) from prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He did his 3 years of super specialization- DM Paediatric Critical Care in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry (2017-2019) and became the ‘Best Outgoing Student’ in the course.
He is actively involved in emergency & critical care of paediatric patients. He had been extensively trained in both invasive procedures (such as endotracheal intubation, central venous catheter insertion, arterial catheter insertion, pericardiocentesis, etc) and non-invasive procedures (such as bedside ultrasonography, echocardiography, etc) with respect to the management of critically ill paediatric patients over the past seven years.Also, he had been trained in the management of mechanically ventilated children.
He has been a resource person for several workshops on paediatric critical care and has published several original articles in reputed journals on critical care medicine. He is a Life Member of Indian Academy of Paediatrics as well as Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). He is also a PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) instructor and trained many healthcare professionals regarding the advanced life support.
