Dr. C. Vijay anand, Paediatric surgeon, did his undergraduation from Rajah Muthiah Medical college (1997- 2003), DNB General Surgery from Apollo Speciality Hospitals Madurai (2004 -2007) and M.Ch Paediatric surgery from Madurai Medical College (2008 – 2011).He has done his Diploma in Laparoscopy from Indian Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery (IAGES)and Paediatric Urology training from CEMAST, Mumbai.He has presented plenty of papers in state and national conferences and has won the‘Annamalai Gold Medal’ for the best scientific paper for his presentation on Giant cystichygroma in TPPSCON 2010. Apart from common Paediatric surgeries (for hernia, hydroceles undescended testis, appendicits, intussusception, IHPS, Phimosis) and urological surgeries (for hypospadias, hydronephrosis, refluxes). He has successfully performed so many neonatal surgeries including that for Esophageal atresia,congenital Diaphragmatic hernia,malrotation, duodenal/small bowel atresias,duplication/ovarian cysts, VI Duct/urachal anomalies, lung cysts/malformations, anorectalmalformations and bowel perforation/ obstruction.He is a life member of Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons and Society of Paediatric Urology.
